Regenerating individual AI fields

See when to regenerate a business description, service summary or FAQ instead of editing, how to add facts for better suggestions, and what happens to your previous versions.

The AI-enhanced profile preview in Annuvell Local helps you improve your business listing by suggesting clearer wording, summaries, and answers to common questions. Deciding when to regenerate a suggestion, rather than simply editing it, can save time and lead to stronger results—especially if your original information was incomplete or unclear. Here’s how to make the most of these tools while keeping control over what is published.

Know which fields you can regenerate and how it works

You can regenerate suggestions for three parts of your business profile: the description, the service summary, and the FAQs. In the AI profile workspace, each field shows whether it is drawn directly from your own data (Supported), has an AI suggestion (with evidence from your facts), or carries a placeholder (Add your information) if there is not enough to suggest anything.

  • Description: For your main business description, you can regenerate a new suggestion, edit the AI draft yourself, or accept it as is. Regeneration gives you a brand new draft based on your latest facts.
  • Service summary: The brief summary of your services can also be individually regenerated whenever you think the draft misses the mark.
  • FAQs: Suggested questions and answers about your business can be regenerated. This is useful if your initial facts have changed or if the AI’s first attempt was off-topic.

Every time you regenerate, the workspace updates the preview field without changing your live profile. You decide which version, if any, to accept and publish. If you want to review your changes in detail, the "Review changes" view shows exactly what will change if you publish.

When to regenerate, and when to edit instead

Regenerating and editing serve different purposes. Use regeneration when the suggestion is fundamentally off or misses your business’s main points. Editing works best when the draft is close, but needs minor tweaks.

  • Regenerate if the draft misses the point: If the suggested description, summary or FAQ misrepresents your services, omits key details, or contains wording you would never use, regeneration is your first step. A fresh draft may catch something the first suggestion missed.
  • Edit if the draft is nearly right: If the suggestion is mostly accurate but needs a correction, addition or rewording, use "Edit". This is often faster than starting over, and lets you keep the parts you like.
  • Use both if needed: Sometimes, you may regenerate once and still want to fine-tune the result. Editing after regeneration is always possible for descriptions.

You can always reject a suggestion if neither option is suitable. Nothing is published without your approval.

Add facts before regenerating for better results

Regenerating works best when your profile contains clear, up-to-date facts. If your initial preview or draft is unhelpful, check whether key information is missing from your owner dashboard. Adding facts first gives the AI more to work with and usually leads to more relevant suggestions.

  • Check for placeholders: If a field says "Add your information", the AI did not have enough to suggest anything. Fill in missing details in your dashboard before regenerating.
  • Update your main business facts: The Supported fields reflect what you have entered directly. If these are incomplete or outdated, the AI has less to draw on. Add or correct your description, services, contact details or hours as needed.
  • Watch for completeness indicators: The workspace shows how complete your profile is now, how it could look with all Supported facts accepted, and its potential with suggested details added. Use these indicators to identify gaps before you regenerate.

If the AI suggestion still does not meet your needs after you’ve added new facts and regenerated, editing or rejecting is always an option.

Understand trial requirements and rate limits

Both regenerating and editing drafts require the free 14-day AI trial. You can start the trial once per business, and no payment card is needed. The first preview is always free to generate and view, but making further changes or generating new suggestions needs the trial to be active.

  • What happens when the trial ends: When your trial ends, your profile and preview remain viewable, but you cannot regenerate fields or create new drafts until the trial is restarted (which, at the time of writing, is not possible for the same business).
  • Rate limits on regeneration: To keep the service reliable, regeneration requests are rate limited. If you reach the limit, the workspace will tell you when you can try again. This usually only affects very frequent or repeated requests in a short period.
  • If the AI provider is unavailable: On rare occasions, a placeholder example appears instead of a new suggestion. This is clearly labelled and does not store anything as your AI result.

Your ability to experiment is broad during the trial, but always check the workspace for any messages about limits or trial status.

Keeping the version you prefer

You are always in control of which draft is published. Each regeneration, edit or acceptance of a suggestion is tracked in your preview, not your public profile. Nothing changes publicly until you choose to publish approved changes.

  • Accept, reject or edit: For each field, you can accept the suggestion, reject it, or (for descriptions) edit it before accepting.
  • Compare versions before publishing: The "Review changes" option lets you see a field-by-field comparison between your current published profile and your proposed updates. Take time to read through both before making your decision.
  • Undo or revisit changes: Nothing is final until you publish. If you prefer an earlier draft or want to make further edits, you can do so as long as your trial is active. If your underlying profile facts change after a preview, the workspace will mark your preview as stale and prompt you to refresh it.

You never lose access to earlier drafts unless you overwrite them by accepting or publishing a new version, so you can experiment until you are satisfied.

What to do when suggestions fall short

Not every AI suggestion will be suitable for your business. If regenerating does not produce the result you want, or if the summary or FAQ is still off-topic, revisit your underlying business facts and add or clarify anything the AI might have missed.

  • Revisit your core details: Sometimes a missing or unclear service entry, business description or contact detail leads to poor suggestions. Double-check what you have entered.
  • Use placeholders as prompts: If a field prompts you to add information, respond to that nudge before regenerating.
  • Remember you control publication: No suggestion is ever published automatically. You can always reject or edit anything before it goes live.

Next steps

Add any missing facts to your business profile in the owner dashboard, then regenerate the field you want to improve. Compare the new suggestion with your previous draft before deciding whether to accept, edit or reject it. If you have not yet claimed your business, start at Find my business.
