This notice explains what Annuvell Local stores on your device and reads from it, why, and how to control it. It covers cookies and anything similar, including data kept in your browser’s local storage.

1.The short version
Browsing the directory does not set sign-in cookies or enquiry drafts. No analytics cookie, no advertising cookie, no third-party tracker, no fingerprinting.
When you sign in, we store four small items — two cookies and two values in your browser’s local storage — and every one of them exists to keep you signed in and to protect your session. If you choose to sign in or verify your email from an enquiry form, we also keep that draft in this tab so you can return to it. These items are listed below.
That is why you are not asked to accept or reject cookies when you arrive. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, consent is needed to store or read information on your device unless doing so is strictly necessary to provide the service you asked for. Everything we store falls within that exception: sign-in is requested by you, and an enquiry draft is saved only when you choose to carry it through sign-in or verification.
If that ever changes — if we introduce analytics or anything else that is not strictly necessary — we will ask for your consent first, with equally easy options to accept and to refuse, and nothing non-essential will be set unless you agree.
2.What we store, in full
Sign-in items are removed when you sign out. Enquiry drafts have the separate lifetime shown below. These items are not used for advertising or browsing profiles.

A fifth value, pace_csrf, is stored alongside these for the same purpose as annuvell_csrf when a deployment serves the site and its interface from different hostnames. On this deployment both are served from one hostname.
3.Third parties
One third party is involved in loading a page: MapTiler AG, which supplies the map imagery on listing and search pages. When a map loads, your browser fetches map tiles from MapTiler directly, and MapTiler receives your IP address as part of that request and uses it for its own security checks.
MapTiler does not set any cookie on your device through our maps, and we have verified that. Because the map is loaded only when you scroll to it, no request is made to MapTiler at all unless a map actually comes into view.
We use no advertising network, no social media pixel, no session recording, no A/B testing tool and no third-party analytics service.
4.How we measure use of the site
We do count things: how often a promoted listing was shown, how often a phone number was revealed, how often a quote was requested, how often an article was read. Businesses need to know whether their listing is doing anything.
Those counts are recorded on our own server, not on your device, and each record holds only the type of event, which listing or article it concerned, roughly where on the site it happened, and when. No account identifier, no device identifier and no IP address is stored with them, so they cannot be connected to you or to anyone else, and we use them only as totals.
Because nothing is stored on or read from your device to do this, it is outside the cookie rules altogether, and there is nothing here for you to consent to or opt out of.
5.Server logs
Separately from anything stored on your device, our servers keep ordinary access logs of the requests they receive, including the IP address a request came from. These are used to keep the service secure and available and to investigate faults and abuse. They are described in our Privacy Policy.
6.How to control what is stored
Sign out. Signing out removes all four items immediately. From your account you can also see every device with an active session and end any or all of them.
Your browser. Every major browser lets you view and delete cookies and site data, and to block them for a site. Deleting ours will sign you out; the site will otherwise work normally, because nothing else depends on them. If you block cookies for this site entirely, you will be able to browse the whole directory but not to sign in — signing in is what the cookies are for.
There is no preference for you to set here, because there is no non-essential storage to switch off. If we ever add any, this page will gain the controls to manage it, and we will ask before setting anything.
7.Changes to this notice
We will update this notice if what we store changes. The date at the top shows the current version. If we introduce anything that is not strictly necessary, we will ask for your consent before setting it, and this page will say so.
