How to improve your business profile on Annuvell Local

A practical walk through the fields that make a listing useful, the completeness panel in your dashboard, website health checks, and the comparison details customers filter on.

A claimed listing is a starting point. The profile customers actually read is made up of a handful of fields, and your dashboard tells you which of them are still empty. This guide goes through each one, explains what it is for, and shows where the product helps you keep it accurate.

Start with the completeness panel

Open "My Listings" in your dashboard. Under each business you will see a profile completeness bar with a list of what is missing. The fields it checks are:

  • logo;
  • description;
  • services;
  • website;
  • phone;
  • email;
  • address;
  • opening hours.

This panel is only ever shown to you as the owner. Customers never see a completeness score, so there is no penalty for being mid-way through filling it in. Its job is simply to point you at the next thing worth adding.

Fill in the descriptive fields

The description, services, logo and photos are what a customer reads first. Each deserves a few minutes of care.

Write a description that states facts

Your description should tell a customer what you do, where you do it and anything that genuinely distinguishes you. Keep it factual:

  • name the services you offer rather than describing yourself in general terms;
  • say which towns or areas you cover;
  • mention practical things such as parking, access or emergency availability only if they are true today.

Avoid claims you cannot support. A short, accurate description is more useful than a long one full of superlatives, and it gives the AI preview solid material to work from if you decide to use it.

List your services individually

Services are stored as a list, not buried in prose. Each entry should be something a customer might search for or filter on. If you are a plumber, that might be boiler repairs, bathroom installation and emergency call-outs; if you run a beauty salon, it might be specific treatments. Browse the categories directory to see how similar businesses describe their work and make sure you are in the right category.

Add a logo and photos

The dashboard shows an "Upload logo" prompt until you add one. Without a logo, your listing shows a category icon instead, which is honest but anonymous. A real logo and a few photographs of your premises, vehicles or finished work help a customer recognise you and are among the details you can edit once your claim is approved.

Keep your website healthy

If you enter a website, Annuvell Local checks whether it is reachable and shows the result beside the address in your dashboard: working, needs attention, not checked yet, or placeholder. A placeholder domain is hidden from your public page until you replace it with your real website. After you fix a broken link or move to a new domain, use "Recheck website" to run the check again.

Confirm your comparison details

Some categories have comparison attributes, the practical yes-or-no facts customers use on comparison pages and filters. In the AI profile workspace you can see each attribute for your category and confirm it with a Yes or No.

Two rules are worth knowing:

  • a fact verified from your own website stays marked as verified;
  • a fact you confirm yourself is shown as provided by the business, never as independently verified.

If your answer differs from what your website states, the fact is flagged for review and the verified value stays published in the meantime. Unknown never means no, so an unanswered attribute is not held against you, but a confirmed one is more useful to a customer than a blank.

Use the AI preview as a checklist

The AI profile workspace shows your current listing side by side with an AI-enhanced preview. Even if you never publish a suggestion, the preview is a useful audit: fields labelled "Add your information" are gaps the model could not fill from your existing facts, and each one links straight to the edit page. Nothing in the preview changes your public profile until you review and publish it.

Next steps

  • Open your listing and clear the "Missing" list in the completeness panel.
  • Replace any placeholder website and run a recheck.
  • Confirm the comparison details for your category.
  • If you have not claimed your listing yet, start at Find my business.
