When customers look at your business profile, clear FAQs can save you time and help them get answers fast. AI-suggested FAQs draw only from what you have already provided, making it easier to cover the questions customers actually ask—without guessing or fabricating details. You stay in full control: every suggestion is yours to accept, edit or ignore before anything is published.

Understand how AI-suggested FAQs are created

AI-generated FAQs are based strictly on facts you have entered about your business—nothing is invented or pulled from outside sources. When you generate an AI-enhanced preview in your profile workspace, it shows both your current public listing and a separate preview with suggested improvements, including FAQs. Each FAQ is clearly labelled to show where its content comes from:

  • Supported: the answer is taken directly from information you have entered, such as your opening hours or contact details. These are already known and can be accepted with confidence.
  • AI suggestion: the answer is a clearer version or summary, based on your data and shown alongside the evidence used. You can see exactly which details the AI has drawn from.
  • Add your information: a question is listed because customers commonly ask it, but there was not enough information in your profile to answer. This placeholder does not claim or guess anything—it is simply a prompt for you to fill in.

Nothing from the preview changes your public profile until you explicitly approve and publish it. You can accept all supported fields at once, or review each FAQ individually.

Which questions customers want answered—and how to answer them

Customers tend to ask the same kinds of questions, no matter the business. Covering these in your FAQs reduces repeated enquiries and shows you are open about how you work. The most common topics include:

  • Opening hours: State your regular hours and any seasonal changes. If you close for lunch or open by appointment only, say so clearly.
  • Service area or coverage: List the places you serve and any limits (for example, particular towns, postcodes, or distances from your base). Avoid vague phrases like "local area"—be specific.
  • How to book or contact you: Explain if customers should call, use an online form, or just turn up. If you require bookings for some services but not others, clarify the difference.
  • Payment methods: List the types of payment you accept (cash, card, online transfer, etc.), including any deposits or payment terms. If you do not take certain methods, it is helpful to say so.
  • Access and facilities: Mention parking, wheelchair access, or any restrictions (such as stairs, narrow doors, or no customer toilet). If you have photos showing access, refer to them.

When drafting your answers, use plain language and keep them concise. For example:

  • "We are open Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Closed weekends and bank holidays."
  • "We cover the whole of Reading and neighbouring towns within 10 miles."
  • "Please call to book an appointment. Walk-ins are welcome for repairs."
  • "We accept cash, debit cards and contactless payments. Invoices payable by bank transfer."

Review, edit and regenerate your suggested FAQs

Once the AI preview has generated suggestions, reviewing them is straightforward. Each FAQ shows its source, so you know whether it is grounded in your own data or left blank for you to complete. As the business owner, you have full control over what is published:

  • Review each suggestion: Accept those that are clear and accurate. For any that do not fit your business, use the Reject option—this removes the FAQ entirely.
  • Edit before accepting: For FAQs and the business description, you can edit the AI-suggested content. This is useful if you want to add detail or change the tone to match your business style.
  • Regenerate if needed: If a suggested FAQ or description does not read well, you can regenerate a new version (while your 14-day AI trial is active). This can help when initial suggestions miss the mark or when you update your business information.
  • Reject irrelevant or incorrect suggestions: If a question makes no sense for your business or the AI has misunderstood your details, simply reject it. You are never forced to publish anything you do not want.

For more detailed steps on reviewing each suggestion, see How to review AI suggestions field by field.

Publish FAQs and keep them up to date

When you are happy with the FAQ draft, use the "Review changes" view to see exactly what will change on your public profile. Only after you click "Publish approved changes" do your new FAQs, description and details go live. Publishing follows the same checks as any manual edit, so you can be confident nothing slips through by accident.

To keep your FAQs useful, revisit them whenever your business details change. If you edit your profile after generating a preview, the workspace will mark the preview as stale and prompt you to refresh it—this helps you keep your public answers current. If you add new services, change your hours or expand your coverage, update the relevant FAQs to match.

If the AI provider is unavailable, you will see a labelled example structure instead of a suggested FAQ. Nothing fabricated will appear in your stored preview, so you can always trust that what you see is based on your actual facts or left for you to answer.

Why clear FAQs reduce enquiries and improve customer experience

Well-written FAQs mean customers can find answers quickly, often without needing to contact you. This reduces the volume of repeated questions by email or phone, freeing up your time for more valuable conversations. On Annuvell Local, the Ask feature uses only your published profile facts (including FAQs) to answer customers' questions. If a visitor asks about something you have already covered in your FAQs, they will see your answer immediately.

Where information is missing, the system will say so rather than guessing. Keeping your FAQs complete and current helps customers get accurate answers—and helps you avoid missed leads from unanswered questions. If you do not state something, it is never assumed to mean "No"; it simply shows as "Not stated" to visitors comparing businesses.

How the AI FAQ process helps you stay in control

The AI workspace is designed so you always have the final say over your public profile. The preview is separate from your live page, so suggestions are never published automatically. You can see how each change would look before committing to it, and you can accept, reject or tailor each FAQ as needed.

Completeness panels in your workspace help you track what is covered—both now and what could be added if you fill in more suggested fields. Placeholders for missing information never count towards your factual completeness, so you know exactly where to focus next. The first AI preview is free to generate and view; editing, regenerating and publishing require the free 14-day AI trial, which does not need a card and can be started once per business.

If you leave your profile incomplete, visitors may see "Not stated" next to unanswered questions, which could put them off or prompt extra enquiries. Taking the time to review and update your FAQs makes your profile more helpful and could set you apart from less detailed competitors.

Next steps

Generate AI-suggested FAQs from your profile workspace, answer any open questions in your own words, and publish the ones you have checked. This keeps your listing clear and accurate for customers.
