How to claim your Annuvell Local listing

Many businesses are already listed on Annuvell Local before their owners ever visit the site. Claiming that listing is free, and it is the first step towards keeping your details accurate, receiving enquiries and quote requests, and reviewing AI-drafted improvements before anything is published. This guide walks you through the claim journey from start to finish.

Why claim your listing

An unclaimed listing shows whatever information is already on file. Once you claim it, you decide what customers see. After a claim is approved you can:

• edit your profile, services and photos;
• receive enquiries and quote requests in your dashboard;
• see your current profile beside an AI-enhanced draft;
• start a free 14-day AI profile trial if you want to work with those drafts;
• improve how you appear in comparisons by confirming verified details;
• track views, contact reveals and lead activity.

Claiming is separate from everything else on the site. The Verified badge only ever reflects a completed ownership check, never a payment, and search results and editorial guides are never pay-to-play. Claiming does not buy you a better position; it gives you control over what is shown.

Step 1: find your business

Start at Find my business. Enter your business name and, optionally, your town or postcode. The search uses the same public directory search that customers use, so if your business appears there it will appear here.

Each result shows the business name, its category and town, and a note that it already has an Annuvell profile. You will see three options:

• View profile opens the public page so you can check it is really your business.
• See AI preview shows how an AI-enhanced version of the profile could look, without changing anything.
• Claim this business starts the claim.

If the listing is already claimed you will see "Already claimed" instead. If that is unexpected, use the contact page to raise it.

If no listing matches, you can add your business from the same page. Check spelling and try the town name rather than a postcode before assuming you are not listed.

Step 2: claim it and verify ownership

Choosing "Claim this business" takes you into the claim flow. You will need an account, so register or sign in if prompted. The claim asks you to demonstrate that you are entitled to manage the listing; the method you used is recorded against the claim.

Be accurate at this stage. A claim submitted with details that do not match the business is likely to be rejected, and the rejection reason is shown to you so you can correct it and try again.

What happens while your claim is reviewed

Once submitted, the claim appears in the "Your claims" panel of your listings dashboard. Each claim shows:

• the business it relates to;
• the verification method and the date you submitted it;
• a status of pending, approved or rejected;
• a rejection reason where one applies.

The business itself only moves into your list of managed listings once the claim is approved. Until then you cannot edit it, which protects every listed business from being changed by someone who does not own it.

What you can do straight away after approval

When the claim is approved, the listing appears under "My Listings". From there you can open the public page, edit the profile, and see a profile completeness panel that tells you which optional fields are still empty, such as your logo, description, services, website, phone, email, address and opening hours.

If you have a website on file, the dashboard also shows whether it was reachable when last checked, with a "Recheck website" button you can use after fixing anything.

Enquiries and quote requests land on the leads page, and the AI profile workspace lets you compare your current listing with an AI-enhanced preview. Nothing from that preview reaches your public page until you review and publish it.
